Group help through Workshops and Presentations

I offer a wide variety of Successful Academic Workshops for both students and faculty. The common denominator is an intensive, interactive experience that aims to give participants concrete skills to use independently.

Workshops include group exercises, discussions, and handouts. The length of workshops varies from one hour to full-day sessions, and from one session to a semester long group. I conduct workshops by tele-conference as well as in-person so that academics from across the country and around the world may participate.

In the past, I have taught seminars, given presentations and led workshops at many academic institutions including the University of Michigan, the University of North Carolina, the University of Virginia, Texas A & M and Michigan State.

Workshops have included the following topics:

  • Why the Dissertation is Hard and What to Do About It.
  • Overcoming Writers Block
  • Tips for New Faculty
  • Succeeding on the Tenure Track
  • Working with Advisors
  • Ending Procrastination
  • Time Management for Academics
